Getting started

From installation to a useful first preview for stores with one flagship product or a tightly focused catalog.

1. 01

   Install the theme

   In Shopify admin, open Online Store > Themes, add the Casebook ZIP file, and leave it unpublished while you configure it.

2. 02

   Add the flagship product

   Create the product first. Add its title, description, price, vendor, product media, variants, inventory, SKU, shipping and pickup data where applicable.

   Build the product dossier

   Start with the Dossier hero and Case index, then sequence Evidence ledger, Feature chapters, Anatomy board, Field tests, Comparison, Specifications and FAQ. Remove anything that does not help the purchase decision.

   Set the brand system

   Use Theme settings for the logo, favicon, colors, typography, social links and cart behavior. Recheck text and button contrast after changing colors.

5. 05

   Add navigation and policies

   Assign header and footer menus. Add shipping, returns, privacy, terms and contact pages before launch.

6. 06

   Test before publishing

   Test every chapter link, anatomy hotspot, variant, sold-out state, cart update, discount, search flow, filter, media type and keyboard interaction on a phone and desktop.
